Endowment Fund

Purpose

To provide financial aid and stability for YMI’s present and future purposes, objectives, program, and expansion.

Goals

• To extend and develop clubs affiliated with Y’s Men International around the world.

• To provide funds to solve special problems or carry on special projects which strengthen, extend and develop YMI in Areas or Regions.

Limitations

Only income is used. The principal remains untouched (in order to provide stability.)  Funds can be disbursed for stated purposes of the fund and approved by the International Council and the Endowment Trustees.

Structure

Five Trustees, serving five-year rotating terms and representing at least three Areas of YMI, invest and manage the funds to maximize income and promote the Endowment Fund. One Trustee is appointed each year by the International President.

GOLDEN BOOK

When you or your club contribute to the Endowment Fund, you have the opportunity to record for posterity the “Golden Deeds” of Y’s Men, YMCA Executives, Y’s Menettes, relatives or friends of YMI in the Golden Book.

Contribution Types

1. Contribution and a Tribute

A Club, individual or group may make a CHF 120 or more contribution and a tribute which will be edited and entered into the Golden Book in Geneva, Switzerland.

2. Paul William Alexander Fellow

A person may contribute CHF 120 or more (or CHF 120 or more may be contributed on their behalf) to the Endowment Fund and be listed on the Paul William Alexander Fellow page in the Golden Book.

3. Double Paul William Alexander Fellow

A person may contribute CHF 120 or more (or CHF 120 or more may be contributed on their behalf) to the Endowment Fund for the second time and be listed as a Double Paul William Alexander Fellow in the Golden Book.

4. Honour Roll Member

An individual that contributes CHF 1,000 or more to the Endowment Fund. Will be listed on the Honour Roll Member page in the Golden Book.

5. Honour Roll Club

When a club contributes CHF 1,000 or more to the Endowment Fund it will be listed on the Honour Roll Club page in the Golden Book.

6. Endowment Friend

An individual may contribute CHF 50 or more to the Endowment Fund and be listed on the Endowment Friend page in the Golden Book.
