Paul William Alexander Legacy

Starting in 2018, the Paul William Alexander Legacy Task Force sought to decide on how to honor our origin in Toledo Ohio, and honor our Founder, Paul William Alexander.  Several projects were considered as a collective effort in providing honor and celebrating our Legacy. It was a way to honor the past, celebrate the current, and look to our future.

disaster relief

When disasters strike Y Service Clubs U.S. Area is there to assist. Disasters impact our members, families, communities, and local YMCAs and we are here to help.

The Brotherhood Fund

The Brotherhood Fund began in 1931 when it was known as the “Bishop’s Fund.” Later it expanded to help finance inter-continental, inter-Regional and inter-Club visitations and to assist with the overseas travel expenses of International Officers and official representatives.

ROLL BACK MALARIA FUND

Together with the World YMCA, a multi-stakeholder partnership has been created to support The Global Fund to Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. The agreement was announced during the Global Fund’s sixth replenishment conference, convened by French President Emmanuel Macron in Lyon, France from 9-10 October 2019.

The Endowment Fund

The purpose of the endowment fund is to provide financial aid and stability for YMI’s present and future purposes, objectives, programs, and expansion.  The goal is to extend and develop clubs affiliated with Y’s Men International around the world and to provide funds to solve special problems or carry on special projects which strengthen, extend and develop YMI in Areas or Regions.

Time of Fast

The beginning of “Time of Fast” came by the action of the “Human Crisis Committee” in its draft “Policy Statement” made on August 23, 1969, under the chairmanship of Kenneth Adams and reported to the Board of Directors at its meeting on July 21, 1970, Copenhagen, Denmark.
