Charley Redmond, Mid America Region. Born 4 July 1952 in San Antonio, Texas. Grew up in Oklahoma City. Graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences with a major in Physiological Sciences and Pharmacology (Physiology) from Oklahoma State University. Lab Technician/Graduate Student OSU Biochemistry Dept 1975 – 1979; Research Associate OSU College of Veterinary Medicine 1979 – 1982. Joined Sigma Chemical Company 1982 (now MilliporeSigma) as an R&D Chemist. Became Principal Scientist in 2005. Moved to Quality Assurance in February 2019 as a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist supporting three MilliporeSigma production sites and as corporate technical support for protein and enzymes.
Boy Scouts of America Leader from 1984 to 2006 serving in Cub Scouts as Tiger Cub Coordinator and Committee member, Boy Scouts as Committee Member, Assistant Scout Master, Scout Master, Committee Chair and Unit Commissioner. Bayless Board of Education from 1993 to 2005 serving as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and President and St Louis Special School District Governing Council 1996 – 2005 serving as Secretary, Vice Chair and Chair.
Joined Y’s Men 2008. Served as Club Vice President, Club President, Regional Director, RSD for Communication, Alexander Scholarship Fund, Time of Fast, Brotherhood Fund, US Area President, and currently the Chair of the Youth Task Force as well as Towards 2022 and Beyond Task Force, and Mentor for all Youth related International Service Directors and the International Youth Representative.
